A team should consist of at least 2 persons, more is better. There will be multiple tutors per team which are your main contact for questions and help and can relay contact with the Workshop team.
Please join the JuDoor project for the Tuning and Scaling workshop beforehand: https://judoor.fz-juelich.de/projects/join/training2204; please provide your team name in the join request.
Make sure to prepare your application for the event. It should work with the current software stage. It's good to have different versions of your data set / application at hand to test various numbers of nodes. Please define a plan in advance and work on improving GPU scaling during the week. Please measure a baseline of your application in advance, which you want to improve upon.
We have reserved a number of nodes for the week through the trainging2204 project. On the following dates, we reserved some more nodes to allow for scaling tests
- Wednesday, 15:00 – 17:00, 40 nodes
- Thursday, 15:00 – 17:00, 200 nodes
There are individual reservations for each day and also for the scaling tests. They are quoted below. You may scale further than that using your own budget; if you need a reservation, let Andreas know.
Please use the
#jsc-jwb-ts-22 RocketChat channel on JuChat for conversations within your team and with your tutors: https://juchat.fz-juelich.de/channel/jsc-jwb-ts-22; we can create sub-channels if you want.
In a 6-minute presentation on Monday, please introduce your application, your current status, the baseline, and plans for the Workshop. On Friday, please report your status at the end of the week.
The video conferencing room of the event is on FZJ's BigBlueButton: https://webconf.fz-juelich.de/b/and-rhp-v6u-9sg
- jwb-ts-22-10-late, from 17:00 until 19:00
